Poppins Umbrella

A compact umbrella that folds down to 270mm — short enough to live permanently in a glovebox, handbag or backpack, which is the only place an umbrella is any use. Push-button release on the handle opens it one-handed. The 8-rib frame combines metal and fibreglass so the ribs flex in a gust rather than breaking, and a velcro tie and waterproof sleeve keep it tidy when packed.
